Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Kalani R. Kaneko Leads Official Delegation to Taiwan
The Honorable Kalani R. Kaneko, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, led a seven-member delegation on an official visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan) from June 29 to July 3, 2026, at the invitation of the Government of Taiwan.
Upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, the delegation was warmly received by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Bau-shuan Ger on behalf of the Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung.
Minister Kaneko expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and reaffirmed the RMI's steadfast support for Taiwan and its meaningful participation in international organizations. He also highlighted the longstanding friendship between the two nations, built on shared values, mutual respect, and trust.
The visit aimed to further strengthen bilateral relations and advance cooperation in key areas, including economic resilience, clean energy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure development.
