Joseph Wu, Secretary-General of the National Security Council delivered remarks on behalf of the Republic of China(Taiwan), emphasizing the importance of the bilateral relationship between the RMI and ROC(Taiwan). The event was attended by distinguished representatives from the Diplomatic Corps as well as esteemed officials from the Legislative Yuan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other government ministries, local governments, the business community, and the media. Their presence reaffirmed the strength and enduring friendship between the Marshall Islands and Taiwan.
A vibrant exhibition of Marshallese culture and handicrafts, organized in collaboration with the National Museum of Prehistory, National Taitung University and their students, as well as Marshallese students, showcased the shared heritage and deep cultural ties between our peoples. Attendees also enjoyed a tasting of Bob Whiskey, Makwon and Ma Vodka, providing a glimpse into our unique local beverages.
The evening was further enriched with cultural performances by the Marshallese students as well as an indigenous performance group from Taoyuan City Government, and the Indigenous Peoples Children's Choir of Taipei City, who beautifully performed the national anthems of both nations.
We sincerely thank all participants and supporters who contributed to the success of this memorable celebration. We look forward to strengthening bilateral relationship, promoting cultural understanding and collaboration, and exploring new opportunities for cooperation, economic development and tourism.
